Title: Planner/Analyst
Salary: $32,000 – $55,000; Dependent on Experience and Qualifications
FTE: 1.00
Location: This position is located in Portland, Oregon, on the Portland State University campus.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
The OUS Planner/Analyst assists the Director of Capital Planning and Construction in executing the capital planning process to ensure that projects submitted to the legislature are integrated with the System’s and individual universities’ academic missions, budget, physical requirements, and goals. This position is a liaison to Oregon University System campuses, participating agencies and external stakeholders; prepares biennial capital construction budget documents; administers campus plant funds and allotment requests; assists the Director with meeting logistics, departmental budget and expense reports, and general business operations of the department.
MINIMUM (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Sociology, Public Administration, Economics, or Architecture plus 2 years professional experience in a similar professional setting demonstrating creativity and initiative resulting in positive solutions and planning outcomes. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are acceptable.
SPECIAL (PREFERRED) QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Social Sciences
- Finance or economics background
- Database management skills including:
- Proficiency with Microsoft ACCESS, including the ability to navigate, populate, manipulate and develop reports from ACCESS; and to manage the database(s) migration to a future platform for OUS
- Proficiency with EXCEL
- CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system management experience
- Higher education or public sector experience
