Location: This position is located in Eugene, Oregon.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
Working in conjunction with the Chief Audit Executive, the Associate IT Audit Director leads the planning efforts and provides strategic input to the IT annual risk assessment and is responsible for ensuring the completion of the Oregon University System IT annual audit plan. The duties include leading and supporting audit teams in planning, supervising, executing, and reporting on information technology audits and providing technical assistance and training on financial, compliance, operational, information technology, fraud, and special project engagements of the Oregon University System’s administration and operating units.
The Associate IT Audit Director assists in leading quality control and staff development efforts including designing continuing education programs, recruiting professional auditors, providing on-the-job training, selecting appropriate in-house and external seminars, and evaluating staff performance and future potential.
The Associate IT Audit Director represents the Oregon University System Internal Audit Division on all IT audit matters including dealings with relevant committee, campus and system management as well as coordinating external IT audits.
MINIMUM (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS
The Associate IT Audit Director must have the following qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in related business field
- Seven years of relevant technology based and auditing experience, including two years of prior supervisory experience
- Relevant professional license or certification including, but not limited to, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
SPECIAL (PREFERRED) QUALIFICATIONS
- Dual certifications
- Experience with leading and participating in committees
- Public speaking and/or instruction experience
- Experience in higher education industry or comparable business environment
