Title:  ORTOP Project Assistant

Salary Range:  $14 - $15 per hour

FTE:  0.375 - This part time job is scheduled to end on June 30, 2014

Location:  The position is located on the Portland State University campus in Portland.GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

The position is part of the Industry Partnerships Department in the Chancellor’s Office and reports to the Director of K-12 STEM Collaborations.  The position is funded by grants to support a program called the Oregon Robotics Tournament and Outreach Program which involves hundreds of volunteers.  Thus the position involves supporting these volunteers and activities of the program including committee meetings, workshops, training sessions, and tournaments.


  1. Associate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  2. Experience and skills in the use and maintenance of computer databases including specific skills in using advanced features of Microsoft Access.
  3. Experience in tracking sources and uses of funds.


  1. Exceptional skills in organizing and carrying out multiple tasks and responsibilities
  2. Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  3. Demonstrated expertise in use of personal computer software including advanced features of
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
  4. Expertise in use of other personal computer software including
    •   Adobe Dreamweaver
