The University of Oregon Department of Human Physiology is seeking quotes on a cryostat.

Minimum Specifications:

. UL Listed.
. CFC-free refrigerant.
. Must have dedicated disposable knife holder for hi or low profile blades and a glass anti-roll plate.
. Glass anti-roll plate must be functional on all four sides.
. Steel knife holder with adjustable specimen gap from 2.5 inches to 4.25 inches.
. Centering position with click stop on X/Y orientation device.
. Cooling shelf automatically set at 10 degrees cooler than chamber.
. Peltier cooling device available that cools down to 25 degrees below chamber.
. Rapid defrost of cooling shelf will not effect chamber temperature.
. Encapsulated microtome with faceplate.
. Dual speed motorized advance and retraction.
. Self contained waste capturing system.
. All locking levers have adjustable heads.
. Built in serial port for easy service access and diagnostic capabilites.
. UV light decontamination of the Cryo chamber.
. Dual settings of 30 minutes and 3 hours.
. Capability of decontamination at temperatures of down to -20 degrees.
. Patented silver ion coating on exterior of Cryostat to prevent RNA/DNA splitting, preventing replication.
