Ryan Deckert is a legislative-appointed member of OCKED. His term began on January 1, 2002.

Deckert is serving his second term in the Oregon House of Representatives for House District 8. He serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Commerce Committee, and is a member of the Education Reform, General Government, and Rules and Elections Committees. Mr. Deckert also serves as Chairman of the Oregon High Technology Caucus, is a member of Oregon's Internet Commission, and is an advisor to the U.S. Internet Council. Ryan is committed to improvements in education, and recently served as the Development Director for Oregon's Innovators in Education Program.

Deckert graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Political Science.
