Dwight Sangrey became a member of OCKED on January 1, 2002. He
serves on the Council as both a member of the business community
and a representative for Oregon's independent colleges.
Mr. Sangrey has been involved in the process of economic development through partnerships among universities, government,
and industry for more than 25 years. He has worked in higher education as a faculty member, researcher, and administrator,
and as an executive for several companies involved in successful technology transfer from universities. Currently,
Sangrey is a Principal and Engineer for Golder Associates in Portland. In addition, he was the director for the
Western Pennsylvania Advanced Technology Center of the Ben Franklin Partnership, a major economic development program.
To achieve his commitment to support the successful application of knowledge growth and economic development throughout
the state, Sangrey maintains various positions for business incubators and technology research parks.
He also serves as a trustee for Pacific University.
Mr. Sangrey holds a B.S. from Lafayette College, an M.S. from the University of Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. from
Cornell University.
