Carl Talton



Carl Talton was appointed a member of OCKED in January 2002.

Throughout his professional career, Mr. Talton has utilized his skills to promote economic development activities. He has served on various community-based economic development organizations and funding agencies. Currently, Talton is the Vice-President of Government Affairs and Economic Development for Portland General Electric. He also serves as a board member of the Portland Development Commission, a group that he chaired from 1995-1999.  Always community-minded, Mr. Talton serves on the Board of Directors for numerous organizations including the North East Community Development Corporation, United Way of Columbia-Willamette, and Albina Headstart. Recently, he completed a program in economic and community development at the JFK School of Government at Harvard University.

Talton is a graduate from Marylhurst University in Portland. He holds a B.S. in Business Management.
