Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Hotline
Report Fraud, Waste, and Abuse
The Oregon University System (OUS) has a responsibility to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse and to hold accountable those who engage in it. The OUS Fraud, Waste, and Abuse policy sets forth guidelines for reporting known or suspected fraud, waste, or abuse within any OUS institution.
If you are aware of fraud, waste, or abuse occurring within the OUS, matters can be reported to:
- Campus management
- OUS Internal Audit Division (IAD)
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Hotline
Hotline
The OUS has contracted with EthicsPoint, an independent, third-party vendor, to provide this confidential and anonymous telephone and Internet system for reporting your concerns.
When employees do not feel comfortable discussing these concerns directly with the IAD or campus management, reports can be made through the hotline. The OUS Internal Audit Division has responsibility for administering the hotline system and following up on reports. To file or follow up on a report:

EthicsPoint is not a 911 or emergency service.
Do not use this site to report events presenting an immediate threat to life or property. Reports submitted through this service may not receive an immediate response. If you require emergency assistance, please contact your local authorities.
Whistleblower Protection
Employees who identify themselves and make a good faith report of suspected fraud, waste, or abuse are protected from retaliation, in accordance with the Oregon State Whistleblowers Protection Law (ORS 659A). The OUS will take steps to maintain confidentiality for employees reporting suspected financial irregularities, misconduct, safety issues, or other concerns to the extent possible under the law.
