Financial Concerns Hotline
Report Financial Concerns
The OUS Reporting Financial Irregularities policy sets forth guidelines for reporting known or suspected fraudulent acts or financial irregularities within any OUS institution or the Chancellor’s Office.
All employees of the Oregon University System (OUS) are encouraged to report known or suspected criminal, unethical, or wasteful financial activities. Financial concerns can be reported to:
- Campus management
- OUS Internal Audit Division (IAD)
- Financial Concerns Hotline
The OUS is committed to ensuring that the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus funds will be used for authorized purposes without fraud or wasteful financial activities. Please include in your report any concerns you have related to inappropriate use, inefficiencies, or abuse in federal stimulus fund spending.
Hotline
The OUS has contracted with EthicsPoint, an independent, third-party vendor, to provide this confidential and anonymous telephone and Internet system for reporting your financial concerns.
When employees do not feel comfortable discussing these concerns directly with the IAD or campus management, reports can be made through the hotline. The OUS Internal Audit Division has responsibility for administering the hotline system and following up on reports. To file or follow up on a report:

Whistleblower Protection
Employees who identify themselves and make a good faith report of a known or suspected financial irregularity are protected from retaliation, in accordance with the Oregon State Whistleblowers Protection Law (ORS 659A). The OUS will take steps to maintain confidentiality for employees reporting suspected financial irregularities to the extent possible under the law.
