Contracts Management

The Contracts Manager is responsible for soliciting, negotiating, and managing Chancellor's Office, OUS System-wide, and cooperative contracts with other state agencies; and providing technical assistance to staff at the Chancellor's Office and the seven OUS institutions regarding contracting matters, including review of vendor-initiating agreements. The Contracts Manager develops and implements systems for tracking and reporting contracting activity; develops public purchasing-related policies and procedures, including drafting administrative rules; and represents OUS on interagency task forces and in interagency negotiations at a statewide level. In addition, the Contracts Manager works with the Department of Justice to facilitate reviews and approvals, and analyze and respond to proposed legislation in the purchasing and contracting arena during legislative sessions.
