The Risk Manager provides services to Chancellor’s Office employees and the institutions functioning as a System resource. This includes furnishing information and recommendations to others who use them to make divisional, departmental, or institutional decisions, in order to provide a safe, healthy climate for employees, students, and visitors. The Risk Manager seeks to help keep property, liability, and workers’ compensation claims as low as possible. The Risk Manager interacts with human resources personnel, environmental health and safety managers, business officers, budget officers, risk coordinators, facilities directors, contract officers, workers’ compensation coordinators, and student health center directors and their staff. The Risk Manager also interacts with other agencies, including SAIF, Risk Management Division, DOJ, Workers’ Compensation Division, the Department of Consumer and Business Services and the agencies involved with fleet management.
