Initiative Reports
Below are reports and information from collaborative work, task groups, committees, state commissions, events, and other special initiatives in which OUS participated:
- Final Report: Task Force on Higher Education and Institutional Success. October, 2012. House Bill 3418 passed during the 2011 legislative session created the Task Force, charged to examine best practices in higher education, and make recommendations to increase success for students in acquiring basic skills, career preparation and program completion with attainment of certification or degrees.
- From goal to reality: 40-40-20, A report on stategies to meet Oregon's 40-40-20 education goals. May 2012. Based on the 2011 leadership symposium sponsored by the Oregon University System.
- 2012 Health Benefits Survey Report, June 2012. This survey was prepared to support recommendations of the SB 242 Health and Welfare Options Review Committee for a report to the 2013 legislative assembly.
- Oregon Post-Secondary Education Quality Education Commission (PSQEC), 2008-2010. The PSQEC was created by Governor Ted Kulongoski with Executive Order 07-13 on August 28, 2007. Its members were charged with establishing a model for funding post-secondary education in Oregon, including community colleges and universities, pursuant to quality goals.
- Report to the Legislature, Activities toward the Prevention of Student Alcohol and Drug Abuse, January 2011, Oregon Department of Education/Oregon Health Authority/OUS.
- House Bill 3619 Task Force, Report to the Oregon Legislature, December 2010: submitted by OUS on behalf of the HB 3619 Task Force. The task force was appointed by the OUS Chancellor, the State Superintendent, and the Director of the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in accord with the stipulations of HB3619.
