Henry C. Lorenzen, Pendleton, was appointed to the State Board of Higher Education in August 2003.
A prominent attorney from a 3rd generation farming family, Mr. Lorenzen is a partner in the law firm of Corey, Byler, Rew, Lorenzen & Hojem, LLP, as well as president of H&C Lorenzen Farm, Inc. In addition, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Historical Society, Oregon Public Broadcasting, and the Oregon East Symphony.
Lorenzen has been an Assistant US Attorney in the US Department of Justice, a member of the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission, a member and chair of the Oregon Environmental Quality Commission, and a member of the Oregon Law Commission.
Lorenzen received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University, his MBA from Harvard University, and his JD from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College.
His term on the State Board expires in 2007.
