Title: Financial Aid Training Coordinator
Salary Range: $20 per hour
FTE: 0.3
Location: The position may be located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon or on the Portland State University campus in Portland, Oregon
Coordinates financial aid training events in connection with federal College Access Challenge Grant, under close supervision of Project Director (Asst. Vice Chancellor for Student Success Initiatives).
Coordinates statewide financial aid training program in connection with federal College Access Challenge Grant, under supervision of Project Director. Tasks include event planning, publicity and management, coordination of multiple trainers’ travel arrangements, and post-event participant evaluation of training and recordkeeping. Manage a master calendar of trainings scheduled and completed, collect and assess training evaluations from trainers, help identify training opportunities at public, nonprofit and other venues, attend some training sessions to ensure trainer effectiveness and provide feedback as needed. Help identify “gap” areas in Oregon where training is needed and corresponding trainers.
Associate degree and two years of project coordination or event planning experience.
Bachelors degree and administrative experience in an education setting (high school or college)
Demonstrated organization, writing and interpersonal skills and effectiveness as member of a team.
