Higher Ed Board Meets Friday in Portland
PORTLAND - The Oregon State Board of Higher Education will hold a series of committee meetings prior to its regular monthly meeting Friday, June 21 at Portland State University.
Brief meetings of the Board's System Strategic Planning (SSP) and Budget and Finance (B&F) committees will be held from 8 to 8:30 a.m. On the agenda for the SSP meeting, to be held in Room 238 of PSU's Smith Memorial Union, will be strategic planning update. The B&F agenda includes discussion on policy and procedures for operating wireless telecommunications services licensed by the Federal Communications Commission, a proposal to increase non-resident and graduate student tuition rates for 2002-2003 beyond the 3 percent increase set in the biennial operating budget, and consideration of a parking lot easement at Oregon State University. The B&F meeting will be in Rooms 327-329 of Smith Center.
The joint committees will meet from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in Rooms 327-329, Smith Center, to review budget priorities for the 2003-2005 biennium and to discuss the relationship between financial aid and tuition and capital construction needs of Oregon's public universities during the next six years.
The meeting of the full board begins at 11 a.m. in Rooms 327-329, Smith Center.
