Portland, OR – May 1, 2013: The Oregon University System is seeking public input from students and other stakeholders on the proposed 2013-14 Academic Year and 2014 Summer Session proposed tuition and fee increases. Comments can be provided in several ways:

  1. In person at public hearings at these locations; testimony can be provided in writing or verbally and will be recorded:

    • May 2, 2013  10:00 -11:00 am    Corvallis, OR   
       Memorial Union, Board Room (2nd Floor), OSU,  Corvallis, OR 
    • May 3, 2013 10:00 -11:00 am    Eugene, OR 
      Board Room of the Erb Memorial Union, UO  Eugene, OR
  2. Via email by May 10th at 5:00 pm, Pacific Time at: FeeBookPublicComments@ous.edu. Important Information for email submissions:  Parallel to the requirements for the public hearings, submission must include all of the following in the email: senders name, address, telephone number, and association with the University System (i.e., student, faculty, parent, concerned citizen, etc.) As the submissions will become part of the public record, comments should be provided in a constructive manner.  Comments submitted without identifying information will not be considered.
  3. In person at the State Board of Higher Education meeting of the Finance Committee on Friday, May 24, 2013. Note, the time of the tuition discussion has been changed slightly since the last announcement. The tuition discussion, including presentations from campus representatives and public input from students and other stakeholders, is now scheduled for 10am-12pm. Public testimony is time limited and will be prioritized by campus representation. Please sign up to testify with the Associate Board Secretary at the meeting no later than 11:00 am. Board meeting location is: 1800 SW 6th Ave, Suite 515, Portland, OR  97201, on the PSU campus, Academic and Student Recreational Center.
