Oregon University System Facilities The seven Oregon University System campuses and the university centers in Bend, Coos Bay, and greater Portland comprise nearly half the major state buildings in Oregon. About 13 million gross square feet of academic space has a current replacement value (CRV) in excess of $2.3 billion. Nearly 40% of the gross square footage of the OUS campuses was built between 1955 and 1970. Some 2.25 million gross square feet of educational space was built in the 1960's. A recent study identified over $390 million of deferred maintenance on OUS campuses. 1998 Current Replacement Value of Facilities and Percent of CRV in Deferred Maintenance Current Amount % of CRV Replacement Value In Deferred Maintenance In Deferred Maintenance EOU $78,000,000 $6,000,000 7.7% OIT 83,000,000 15,000,000 18.1% OSU 808,000,000 131,000,000 16.2% PSU 376,000,000 107,000,000 28.5% SOU 117,000,000 22,000,000 18.8% UO 678,000,000 98,000,000 14.5% WOU 87,000,000 13,000,000 14.9% Total $2,227,000,000 $392,000,000 17.6% Source: OUS Office of Finance and Administration, Administration Division.
