Report of the Task Force on Graduate/Professional Education and Research
The task force, charged with providing the Board with a situational analysis of graduate education and research and identifying relevant issues for future planning, reported first to the Board in April 1996. Further task force work includes review of graduate education and issues relating to institutional mission, academic programs, students, faculty, and research.

Sale of Property to Oregon Department of Transportation, OSU
The sale of a small parcel of land (located on the OSU Eastern Oregon Agriculture Research
Center in Harney County) to the Oregon Department of Transportation will allow for highway
improvements.
Sale of Property to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, OSU
The sale of a small parcel of land (located on the OSU Malheur Experiment Station property in
Ontario) to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will allow for expansion
of their facilities.

President Youngblood requests Board approval of the mission statement for WOSC.

According to Oregon Revised Statute, the Board has the authority to approve institutional
missions. Some of the missions in use have been approved by the Board; others
have not. A copy of all the institutional missions is provided.
