TO: Members, State Board of Higher Education

RE: Schedule of Various Meetings

Joint Boards of Education
The Joint Boards will meet with Governor Kitzhaber from 3-3:45 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 1996, in the Governor's Conference Room, State Capitol Building, Salem, Oregon. The Governor will provide the Joint Boards with an update on the work of his task forces.

Create a Virtual University Initiative Solution Team
This Solution Team, chaired by EOSC President Dave Gilbert, will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, October 8, 1996, at 1 p.m. in Hoke 309, Eastern Oregon State College, La Grande, Oregon. The purpose of the meeting will be to address this area as it relates to the Board's long-range strategic planning effort.

Joint Boards Working Group
The Working Group will meet at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 1996, in Room 323, Smith Memorial Center, Portland State University, Portland, Oregon. The purpose of the meeting is to develop an agenda for the November meeting of the Joint Boards of Education.
