The Joint Boards Articulation Commission (JBAC) is a policy and action-oriented group, established in 1992 by the Oregon Board of Education and the Oregon Board of Higher Education, to encourage active cooperation and collaboration among sectors and within systems (K-12, community colleges, and baccalaureate-granting institutions) in order to achieve the most efficient and effective articulation possible.
ONLINE FORUMS NOW CLOSED - ONGOING FEEDBACK STILL WELCOME
PLEASE SEE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING COMMENTS RE: GENERAL EDUCATION OUTCOMES/CRITERIA AND AAOT REVISION
THANK YOU to all who contributed your thoughtful and insightful comments to the JBAC forums! Your feedback was vital to this project and most welcome, and all of it has been collected and organized for consideration by the original drafters, JBAC, the Councils of Community College Instructional Administrators and OUS Provosts. These compilations will be posted at this website within the next few weeks.
Unfortunately, the forums themselves have become targets of hackers. As a result, we’ve closed them, reasoning that their utility at this stage of the discussion does not justify the security risk they pose. This does not mean that we don’t want your feedback - either on the proposed criteria for transferable General Education courses or on possible revision of the AA/OT degree. If you’d like to give us your thoughts, or if you have questions about any aspect of this project, please contact Jan Barkley at 541-346-5763.
