Universities and colleges fuel economic growth for the State through the creation of ideas, technologies, broad economic solutions, and the development of a high quality workforce for current and future businesses residing in the State. The focus of the Academic Excellence/Economic Development Working Group is the intersection of areas of excellence in our Higher Education institutions with existing or new economic forces driving business initiatives.
The Academic Excellence/Economic Development Working Group is addressing 11 potential opportunity areas in which to identify and develop initiatives that build on the program excellence in Oregon's universities and community colleges.
