Committee Work

AEED "Opportunity Areas" reflect potential business, education, and research opportunities that will be explored as possible areas for future Board initiatives. The initial list shown below was drawn from the work of the Oregon Council for Knowledge and Economic Development (OCKED), and from conversations with Board President and former Governor Neil Goldschmidt and other public and private sector leaders in Oregon.

The AEED opportunity areas listed here will evolve as working group and subcommittee activities progress. We welcome your suggestions regarding additional opportunity areas. Please use the "Feedback" button above to submit comments or recommendations.

Strategy Development Matrix

The strategy development matrix is a tool to organize the initial work of the AEED. The matrix provides a way to capture the economic investment focus of potential initiatives, the planning horizon (short-, medium-, and long-term), geographic diversity, and connections to other economic development efforts as well as broad state goals.
