Programs
Accounting Linfield's Accounting degree includes a substantial base of accounting courses as well as other necessary business coursework. This program can be built upon to qualify for the CPA exam by adding an additional year of specified coursework from an accredited institution. Arts and Humanities The Arts and Humanities degree requires a minimum of 40 credits from: Art, Communications, English, Modern Language, Music, Religion/Philosophy, and/or Theater. No more than 20 credits can come from any one department, and the total credits can come from no more than three departments. Business Information Systems To earn the degree in Business Information Systems, students must earn a minimum of 24 credits in Computer Science and 24 credits in Business from a prescribed list. International Business A minimum of 36 semester credits are required from a prescribed list to earn the Bachelor's in International Business. Some of these courses can be transferred in from another accredited institution. Management A minimum of 39 semester credits are required from an approved list to meet the requirements for a degree in Management. Nursing Linfield's newest online program offering, you can now complete your baccalaureate degree in Nursing through Linfield's Adult Degree Program. This is an RN to BSN program designed for registered nurses who wish to continue their education and complete a Bachelor's degree. Social and Behavioral Science The Social and Behavioral Science degree may be either a B.S. or a B.A., with the latter representing competence in a second language. An interdisciplinary major, Social and Behavioral Science draws its 40 credits in the major from certain courses in Business and Economics, in History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology. As with all the Linfield majors, a certain number of credits presented in the major must be upper division Linfield courses, but a number of major credits may be transferred in from the community college or other academic institutions. Environmental Studies Minor Linfield's Environmental Studies Minor is a highly interdisciplinary program including aspects of just about every field in the liberal arts curriculum. This minor adds a balanced environmental perspective to a student's existing major of study. Certificates Linfield College's Certificate Programs are designed for adult students who desire to acquire skills and knowledge in specialized employment areas. If you would like to further your education, but aren't sure about committing yourself to a four-year degree, one of these certificates may meet your needs. At a later date, if you decide to pursue a bachelor's degree, your certificate coursework will apply to the degree requirements. Students who are already Linfield College degree candidates may not, however, apply for a certificate concurrently. If you already have a bachelor's degree, our certificate programs may help you acquire more specialized knowledge and skills needed for career advancement.
